In a continual effort to remain open and transparent in the budget process, the William Floyd Board of Education invites residents to participate in the 2010-2011 school year budget development process. Your active involvement is more important now than ever.
For the fourth straight year, we are soliciting community input as we strive to develop a sensible budget that is considerate of the taxpayers and sticks to our core mission of educating our children and preparing them for the future.
You are encouraged to join the Budget Advisory Committee and actively participate in a series of Budget Workshops scheduled for Wednesday evenings beginning with an introductory meeting on February 24, 2010, from 7 pm to 8 pm. Subsequent meetings will be from 7 pm to 9 pm throughout March and April.

Your input is extremely important as the budget process involves decisions affecting all areas of District operations with a shrinking amount of resources, most importantly the ongoing reduction of State Aid. All Budget Workshops of the Board of Education are public sessions and open to the entire community.
